Professional Development Days

2024
Public Art with Don Walters
24th March 11am
Where You Meet Cafe, Geelong Botanic Gardens
Picture
This is a rare opportunity to discuss the highs and lows of 'Public" art, with Don Walters, one of our region's most recognised artists and sculptors.
We will also walk to view some of his art and the work of other artists such as GSInc member
Jacinta Leach. This will be a great combination of a coffee catch up and an artist
talk. We are providing this opportunity as a free event – a great way to start our PD
days this year!
So that we can book a table at the café, please email us at
[email protected] if you intend to join us on the day

Sunday 19th March 2023 Moongate Studio
Our first PD session for this year was excellent!  Jan and Geo Francis kindly opened their ‘Moongate’ studio/home (Bellbrae) to share their stories, art and insight. We had a presentation in their studio Gallery, followed by the opportunity to view and discuss Geo’s current sculptural work in progress (A beautiful bronze piece). Then we were able to view Jan’s studio and the beautiful sculpture gardens at Moongate. It was a great opportunity to learn and be inspired by other artists, and to meet and connect with other artists in the Geelong Sculptors Group.
